Annual Events

There is plenty to do around Imbler, especially for outdoor recreation.

However every year we celebrate special events. The listed events are local to Imbler and also include some of the happenings from our surrounding area. Don't miss out!

Spring

Chamber Awards Banquet

Once each year, Chamber of Commerce members and friends gather for an evening of fun, food, and celebration.

Guests are treated to a gourmet feast and engaging entertainment. Several prestigious awards are presented to individuals who exemplify a positive influence on Union County, and to recognize their efforts to promote our community and resources. Other awards include Business of the Year and Educator of the Year.

June

Hog Wild Days

The first weekend in June, for two days, food, craft, and game vendors mean plenty of shopping and fun for everyone. BBQ feed and Firemen Breakfast with a parade.

Eastern Oregon Livestock Show

Kids from 4-H and FFA clubs show and sell their livestock. Cowboys, riders, and ropers compete in PRCA Rodeo, with bull and bronc riding, parimutuel racing, barrel racing, and other traditional rodeo contests. Held in Union, Oregon.

July

Imbler Fourth of July Parade

Every Fourth of July Imbler holds an annual parade down its main street. People of all ages participate in the parade to show off America’s colors of red, white and blue! Imbler FFA students present a float every year.

 

Crazy Days

Crazy Days is a La Grande Main Street event that takes place the second weekend in July in downtown La Grande. Activities include a fireman’s breakfast, sidewalk sales, children’s activities, exhibits, food, shower tower, and fun for the whole family.

In conjunction with Crazy Days, the Union County Timber Cruisers Car Club hosts the Grande Ronde-A-View Car Show on Saturday. Come early, stay late, and enjoy the day.

August

Union County Fair

Union County's old-fashioned rural fair, held on the first weekend in August. Featuring pigs, cows, chickens, goats, rabbits, and horses. We encourage 4-H competition with sewing, crafting, jams & jellies and much more. Bring your friends and family from toddlers to seniors. Festivities include parade, live entertainment, carnival, animal judging, exhibit barns, quilts, home goods, art, and local produce.

October

Imbler Haunted House

During the month of October enjoy Imbler's Annual Haunted House. Every Friday and Saturday in October from 7pm-10pm. It's a scary good time!

Fall

Farmer Merchant Banquet

The Union County Chamber of Commerce holds the Annual Farmers Merchant Banquet each fall in the Blue Mountain Conference Center. The banquet recognizes and honors past, present, and future generations of our agriculture members.
